Mahogany Tallboy Chest of Drawers

This beautiful piece of furniture certainly put us through our paces here at Catherine & Kay. It was such a classic piece I simply could not bring myself to paint it, so a full restoration was called for. Now anyone in the furniture business will tell you a restoration is far more challenging than painting a piece, as with a restoration there is nowhere to hide. The old finish had to be completely removed and then it took a lot of playing with wood stains to get the right mix but I got there in the end and I think the result speaks for itself. This piece of furniture would coordinate beautifully with any colour scheme in your home.
