This vintage writing bureau had lived in a castle when I came across it so I felt a French Chateau vibe was called for in its restyle. The stain on the exterior is espresso a rich dark brown and I have matched the paint colours to the decoupage paper used on the sides of the drawer and the lid supports. The handles and hinges are original to the piece.
